About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
High up in California’s Sierra Foothills, where the mountain air whispers through nine acres of vines, my husband Sudhakar and I found a place that felt like home. What was once Old Oakstone Vineyards is now something entirely our own—Adi Wines, a reflection of our roots, our dreams, and our commitment to the land. We named our vineyard Bhoomanchi, which means “Good Earth” in Telugu, because that's exactly what we found here: a place grounded in nature, purpose, and promise.
We come from the world of tech, so this shift into winemaking may seem unexpected. But for us, those long drives with our children through wine country weren’t just weekend getaways—they sparked ideas and possibilities. In 2021, we took the leap, buying this mountain vineyard and beginning a new chapter. Our winemaking style is minimal intervention, allowing the vineyard’s natural character to shine through in every bottle. We have embraced organic farming and are soon to be certified.
Our first three wines—a bold and structured Cabernet Sauvignon, a light and elegant Pinot Gris, and a bright, expressive Rosé—each have their own personality. The labels are just as intentional, blending art and story with our heritage and craftsmanship.
But Adi Wines is more than just what’s in the bottle. We’re building an experience that brings people into our world. Through our exclusive wine club, we plan to offer not just curated wines, but unforgettable vineyard stays and getaways that connect the Sierra Foothills to the serenity of Lake Tahoe. It’s our way of bringing people closer to the land, and to the stories these wines have to tell.
